Art Journaling with Dina Wakley

Had a wonderful time at a Art Journaling Class at Whim So Doodle today with Guest Teacher Dina Wakley. She showed us some really cool techniques for back grounds and finished pages. It was so much fun to 'Spray and Blot" with "Mad Betty"

Very fun way to make easy backgrounds, using spray washes instead of paints. We are all hoping she will be back soon!!

I have a hard time writing... I just want to paint and play..but I did

I got to play in my Journals today...YEA.. This is a technique that Journal Artista showed on one of her Ustreams...you cover the page with black acrylic paint then spray colorwash over stencils. Then I used stencils and put gesso on top then the magic happens..the washes come up through the gesso and you can see the stenciled effect. pretty cool....I am going to try other colors another day
